Ramallah – Thursday, January 1, 2026 – Dr. Jihad Ramadan, Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, received today Mohammed Al-Madani (Abu Yafa), Member of the Central Committee of the Fatah Movement, along with an accompanying delegation from the Movement’s Revolutionary Council.

The meeting explored ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between official institutions and the Fatah Movement, in a manner that promotes broader national benefit from the expertise and opportunities provided by specialized international organizations, foremost among them the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), and the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO).

Both sides emphasized the importance of sustaining institutional cooperation and ensuring the complementarity of roles, with the aim of maximizing national utilization of these organizations’ programs and leveraging them to serve the sectors of education, culture, and science. They also stressed the importance of supporting national resilience, advancing sustainable development, and safeguarding the cultural and civilizational heritage of the Palestinian people.
